Spiritual Health Assessment

At SeaCoast Grace, our mission is to make a difference in our world by introducing people to Jesus Christ and his teachings at whatever point we find them in their spiritual journey. To
help you in your journey, we have identified six key areas of spiritual health. We feel that a fully devoted follower of Jesus grows spiritually through…
· Worship (John 4:21-24, Romans 12:1-2)
· Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13, 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
· Scripture (2 Timothy 2:15, Psalm 119:9-11)
· Service (John 13:1-17, Romans 12:3-8)
· Stewardship (Matthew 25:14-30, 1 Timothy 6:17-19)
· Significant Relationships (Matthew 22:34-40, John 13:34,35)

This assessment is a tool. It is a tool that has been developed to help you evaluate potential areas for spiritual growth in your walk with Jesus Christ. The questions are simple and address each of the six disciplines listed above. By the end of this assessment, you will have the information you need to take the next step in your faith journey. 2 Corinthians 13:5 tells us to, Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. Test it out…if you fail the test, do something about it. This assessment tool is designed to help you do just that!

The assessment consists of thirty questions and should take about ten minutes to complete. Answer each question honestly, as it applies to you. The goal of this assessment is to provide you with a customized glimpse of areas for potential growth and to give you the resources you need to take the next step in your faith journey. To begin, read through the chart on the next page. The chart assigns a numerical value of 1 - 5 to the comments that will be used to gauge your response. Next, read through the statements listed under each of the six disciplines. At the end of the statement, fill in the box that corresponds to the comment number that best describes your reaction. When you come to a statement you don’t understand, score a number one. Remember, the assessment is not designed to compare you with others. It is simply to provide you with customized resources to help you on your journey as you grow in your relationship with God and become a fully devoted follower of Christ.
