If you have attended Next Steps, the "Next Step" in the membership process is to attend an Elder Coffee, which is an informal time of fellowship with the elders of our church. As you learned at the Next Steps class, the difference between attendees and members can be summed up in one word: Commitment. There are several reasons to consider this step:
- A biblical reason: Christ is committed to the church.
- A cultural reason: Commitment is an antidote to individualism.
- A practical reason: Commitment defines who can be counted on.
- A personal reason: Commitment produces spiritual growth.
